Paweł Zaręba has been working in the energy sector for over 20 years and possesses a broad range of skills and competencies related to managing construction projects of fossil-fueled generation units (coal and gas).   

He has been employed as Engineering Manager in PGE EJ1 since November 2015. Earlier, he worked as a Technical Director for the Opole project in  Polimex Projekt Opole Sp. z o.o., where he was responsible for the construction of the coal-fueled units no 5 and 6, 920 MWe generation capacity each. In the years 2012–2015 he worked as the Project Engineering Manager in SNC-Lavalin Polska Sp. z o.o., where he was performing oversight for such projects as the construction of cogeneration unit in Ursus and gas plant units in Tashkient and Włocławek. During his years in Polskie LNG S.A. (between 2007 and 2012) he was in charge of managing the technology and mechanical aspect of the contracts for LNG terminal construction. 

He spent 3 years (2004-2007) working as the Project Manager for PHZ Bartimpex S.A. where, i.a., he managed contracts to build compressor stations for the Yamal pipeline in Poland. He has accumulated years of professional experience in the energy sector working for such companies and institutions as PB Gazownia Serwis Sp. z o.o., ABB Zamech Gazpetro, ABB Zamech, PPP PROMET, SHELL Polska, SHELL GAZ, National Energy Conservation Agency and OBRGE (Centre for Research and Development in Energy Management).

He graduated from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology and holds a Ph.D. degree in mechanical sciences.
